Teacher Training & Development Projects

Laos—In 2022, our teacher training program expanded to a third province. This is the most remote province we have served since the program launched in 2015. Newly recruited teachers could help expand this program to all 17 provinces!

Iraq—In 2022, we began our first pilot three-year teacher development program in northern Iraq. We received positive feedback and partners have asked us to serve more teachers in year two. Experienced educators are needed to expand this program!

Thailand and Duhok Hubs—We are committed to training new teachers with our organization for service in difficult circumstances. A year or two in an easier location learning language and culture sets teachers up for success in harder locations. New teachers are needed to meet many requests for teachers across Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa!

Sending New Teachers

Schools and universities across Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa are asking for more teachers. During the 2023-2024 school year, we hope to engage over 40,000 people in these countries. We are working to recruit 60 new long-term and 225 short-term teachers to meet this need. The more teachers we are able to place overseas, the greater the outreach to the unengaged will be!

Exploring New Opportunities (R&D)

As new opportunities arise, we explore them until we sense a closed door or a “not now.” Exploration includes leadership trips to visit potential partners, short-term programs, and online engagement. A good example of a new opportunity is our recent work in Uzbekistan. Teachers are needed for the first long-term team in Central Asia!
